RSE, CFPS, WBITM is a red seal endorsed sprinkler fitter from Southwestern Ontario. Working in his family business (Wallace-Kent Sprinkler Systems Inc.) Chris is currently working as a project manager, sprinkler designer, and every once in a while, still gets on the tools if the situation arises. Chris serves on the board of directors in the Canadian Fire Safety Association, is a member of the National Fire Sprinkler Association Future Leadership Committee, and hosts the Fire Sprinkler Podcast. Chris enjoys traveling the world, attending conferences, talking sprinkler, and staying current with the latest trends in fire protection. He is a 3rd-generation sprinkler fitter with a wife and boys (ages 13 and 12) at home who don't know it yet, but are 4th generation. Because, like it or not, they bleed sprinkler water!

Human Behaviour in Fire - Speaker: Randy Panesar
B.Ed (Adult Education), M.Ed (Higher Education Leadership), NFPA 1031, NFPA 1035, Partial NFPA 921, is a Professor and Coordinator of the Fire Prevention and Technology program at Durham College. He holds a Bachelor of Education in Adult Education and a Master of Education in Higher Education Leadership from the University of Toronto, where his graduate work focused on leadership in Canadian post-secondary education. Randy is also the founder of Liberty Fire Education and Consulting, an organization dedicated to advancing fire and life safety through training, consulting, and professional education. Recognized for his expertise in fire prevention, code compliance, and human behaviour in fire, he has presented at major industry conferences and is regarded across North America as a leader in fire and life safety education. A strong believer in the power of education, Randy also founded international scholarship initiatives that provide orphaned students with the opportunity to pursue post-secondary diplomas and degrees. By blending deep technical knowledge with advanced adult learning strategies, he equips both students and professionals with the tools to excel in the fire and life safety field.

Ontario Fire Code 2026, Finally - Speaker: Mike Lonergan
Michael founded Lonergan Engineering in 2013, bringing together a rare blend of hands-on trade experience and engineering expertise. Michael loves to share ideas, stories , and problem-solving, as he continues to shape his practical, safety-focused design and engineering approach.
Michael has over two decades of experience and is licensed as a P.Eng. in Ontario, British Columbia, Nova Scotia, and holds a Consulting Engineer designation.
He regularly shares his expertise via educational presentations and is an active member of CFAA Central Ontario, ULC Technical Committee, and volunteers his time to support the education committee. The goal is to help propel this industry forward with lessons learned.

Jeremy began his career by combining a business degree and a curiosity for “how things work” with experience in his family’s electrical company. From apprentice to President & CEO, he led diverse projects and built a reputation for honesty, quality, and collaboration.
In 2019, he joined Georgian College as a Professor of Electrical Apprenticeship Studies, and in 2022, Jeremy joined Lonergan Engineering to focus on integrated systems testing.
He brings real-world insight and a cooperative mindset to every project. As well as expertise in ULC-S1001—the Standard for Integrated Systems Testing of Fire Protection and Life Safety Systems.
Jeremy holds a Master Electrician license, a 309A Red Seal, and a B.BA (Hon).
