Speaker: Bob McIntosh, PL Solutions Emergency Lighting
President, PL Solutions for over 22 years. The Market Leader in the Photoluminescent Technology, Members of the Photoluminescent Safety Association, who are focused only on Life Safety. Since 2007, when the 1st Egress Testing was conducted with the assistance of The Ottawa Fire Department. PL Solutions has continually worked with UL/ ULC to improve the Technology. We are the only PL Company to achieve CAN ULC S 572 approval to be charged with only 22 Lux of any light source. All others require 54 Lux. In Bob’s past decade, he has sat on several Safety Committee, including NYC 911, APTA, FRA, OBC, and the NRC, where the next evolution of the PL Technology is heading, Egress in all Buildings, guaranteed to save more lives, which is the only priority.

Speaker: Michael Lonergan, Lonergan Engineering
Michael Lonergan is a Professional Engineer in Consulting Engineering, Integrated Testing Coordinator, ULC Listing Service Provider: Michael has been working in the electrical, fire and life safety industry officially since 1999. Prior to this Michael was a helper within the family business, dating back to grade school. Eventually Michael made his way to the engineering industry in 2007 with projects ranging from stadiums, schools and hospitals. After the design completion of a million square foot hospital, Michael ventured on his own, starting Lonergan Engineering in 2013. Michael is passionate about this industry and enjoys meeting like-minded individuals and sharing stories for education and growth.

Speaker: Lenn Papp, Chief Prevention Officer, St Catharines
Len Papp has had a distinguished career in fire protection engineering, education, and public service. He started at Troy Consulting Engineers and later joined Life Safety Systems before moving to Brampton Fire & Emergency Services, where he advanced to Assistant Division Chief of Fire Prevention. In 2018, he became Chief Fire Prevention Officer at St. Catharines Fire Services. Len holds an undergraduate degree from Western Oregon University and a master’s from Dalhousie University, along with various NFPA certifications. He is also completing courses in the Humber College Fire Services Executive Management program and actively contributes to several committees while teaching fire safety programs at Dalhousie University and the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal.

Gabriel Senechal is the Directeur technique des produits, Technical - Product Manager for Cerco Cable.
Nerd about fire protection, fire prevention, mass transit project and engineering. Gabriel is involved daily with engineer and contractor to conduct training on ULC S139 FHIT7 system, NFPA 130 cable requirement, NFPA 502 cable requirement and firestop through penetrations system and building joints systems. NFPA 130 Principal. SFPE Quebec Board member, CFAA Director in Ontario, Atlantic and Quebec, Active in 7 different TC UL/ULC committee, TC 0005 Raceways and Fitting, TC 0674 Electric Motors and Generators for Hazardous Locations, TC 0864 - Fire Protection Signaling Equipment, TC 0924 - Emergency Lighting and Power Equipment, TC 1479 - Fire Tests of Through Penetration Firestops and Building Joint Systems, TC 2196 - Fire Resistive Cables, TC 2524 - In-Building 2-Way Emergency Radio Communication Enhancement Systems.
